Circular neon plant technology visual

The platform

Creating traits nature never explored.

FloraForge develops novel plant traits through gene editing, genetic control systems, and modular biological design. Beginning with ornamentals, we are creating new colors, patterns, and future plant capabilities that cannot be achieved through conventional breeding alone.

Landing Pad System

Reusable genomic insertion sites designed for rapid testing and deployment of new trait modules.

Pattern Programming

Control where traits appear within a plant, from veins and borders to speckles and gradients.

Pigment Engineering

Modify and combine natural pigment pathways to create novel colors and visual effects.

Genetic Control Systems

Regulate when, where, and how strongly traits are expressed throughout plant development.

Landing pad system

A reusable foundation for trait development.

Traditional plant engineering provides limited control over where new genetic traits are integrated within the genome, often introducing variability between lines. FloraForge's landing pad system establishes predefined genomic integration sites, enabling new trait modules to be evaluated within a consistent genetic context and compared more reliably across generations and designs.

Conventional Transformation FloraForge Landing Pad System
Integration site varies between events Defined genomic integration site
Each event must be evaluated independently Traits can be evaluated within the same genomic context
Expression can be influenced by insertion location Insertion location is held constant across trait evaluations
New traits often require generation of additional independent events Future traits can be introduced into established engineered lines

Pattern programming

From genetic control to visible patterns.

The appearance of a trait depends not only on the genes it contains, but on where and when those genes are active. FloraForge develops genetic control systems that direct expression to specific tissues, regions, and developmental stages, enabling patterns such as veins, speckles, borders, and gradients.

Pigment engineering

Expanding what plant color can be.

Plant color emerges from complex biological pathways that control the production and accumulation of natural pigments. FloraForge develops technologies to modify and combine these systems, expanding the range of colors, intensities, and visual effects available for future plant varieties.

Genetic control systems

Precision control of plant traits.

Genetic traits depend not only on their DNA sequence, but also on how they are regulated within the plant. FloraForge develops genetic control systems that influence the timing, strength, and coordination of trait expression, enabling more predictable outcomes and greater control over plant development and appearance.
